Calculation of particle age in OpenFoam
Hello, I have a question regarding the computation of particle age in the Lagrangian field (two-phase flow) within OpenFOAM. How does OpenFOAM handle the calculation of particle “age” in the Lagrangian grid? For instance, if a particle is injected at time t=0s and travels in the domain for 1s without escaping from the domain, one would expect the particle’s age or flight time to be 1s. However, in practice, it appears to show half of the simulation time. Could you provide insights into this discrepancy?
