Course Agenda for A1-2: From January 20, (2024) to February 19, (2025), 5 weeks, 14 sessions x 3 hours, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 16:00-19:00 (Berlin Time)

Registration Deadline: December 12, for Early Registration Discount (20%), 30 November.

  • Course Overview: This is a Comprehensive German Language Course for international students and experts interested in education and career opportunities in Germany, to start German Language as beginners and achieve A1 level including speaking, listening, reading and writing skills within 36 Live-Online Lectures in an international interactive class.
  • Teaching Approach: Supervised Online-Live Course +Teaching Assistant Support. The presence of all participants in live lectures is expected and required, however for the case of overlap issues with your urgent programs and time management, you can review the recordings which are available for the registered participants.
  • Including extra practices, conversations on selected topics related to education, research and job opportunities in Germany, with presence of students and experienced experts and instructors from Germany.

Course Content: The course will cover the following topics/modules:

  1. Basic Vocabulary and Grammar
  2. Greetings and Introductions
  3. Everyday Conversations
  4. Travel Vocabulary and Situations
  5. Shopping and Dining Out
  6. Describing People and Places
  7. Hobbies and Leisure Activities
  8. German Culture and Customs
  9. Language Learning Skills:
  • Speaking: Role-plays, dialogues, and group discussions.
  • Listening: Audio recordings, and listening comprehension exercises.
  • Reading: Texts, articles, and comprehension activities.
  • Writing: Written assignments, dialogues, and creative writing tasks.

Training Goals:

  • By the end of the course, students will be able to:
    o Hold basic conversations in German.
    o Understand and respond to common spoken and written expressions.
    o Navigate everyday situations in German-speaking countries.
    o Gain insight into German culture and customs.

  • Online Resources: Interactive exercises, videos, and supplementary materials.
